The third recording work by one of the leading singers in present-day flamenco. This album, produced by Enrique Morente, appears five years after the great successes that she reaped with 'Mi cante y un poema' and 'Calle del aire'.
In "Mujeres", Estrella Morente pays tribute to the great female voices of all time, paying special attention to cantaoras (female flamenco singers) such as La Niсa de los Peines, La Repompa and Carmen Linares. The record also features classic songs like 'Ne me quitte pas', 'Nostalgia' and 'Volver', a cover version that was chosen as the title track of the soundtrack of Pedro Almodуvar's new film.
